Look Who's Talking

Time is flying! Learning to share is getting interesting. They are very sweet to each other, but they can get territorial with toys. It depends on the day - one will want everything that the other one has. As soon as Amelie even touches something of interest to Lucia, Lu's high pitched alarm sounds "Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!", remove hand, alarm off.

The girls crack up when we smell their feet and say "P-U!", then they respond with "Stinky!!"

They want to walk everywhere! Very good about holding Mommy's and Daddy's hands.

Loving to climb up the couch and play with the light switch. Knowing its a no-no, she will climb up and turn to me with a little grin. The other day while I was getting their lunch ready, Lucia knocked over the gate, went up to her room and closed the door. I didn't realize until I heard her little foots steps running back and forth in her bedroom. One more year, and my entire head of hair will be completely white.

Their hair is long enough for pigtails, but they don't last long.

What's In? Showers, Sesame Street, The Cat in the Hat ("At"), chocolate covered raisins, running around on the porch, legos, playing in the kitchen, shoes, iPad games, coloring, and climbing up and down the stairs!

Amelie's little raspy voice is so cute. She is still very connected to her "binkies" but only at bedtime. Its amazing how quickly she picked up the iPad - with her favorite game, she spells out the names of animals with ease. She also lets me know when she poops...potty training is right around the corner.

Lu loves to build with the legos and Amelie loves to knock them all down...which leads to "Mommy-Mommy!" (The double Mommy is an absolutely adorable new development.)

The girls are also starting to use "Please" and "Thank you". Unfortunately we also learned "Boo-Boo" and "Uh-Oh" recently...now that I think of it, Lucia also says "Oh God"...Mommy will have to work on that one. Lots of "Hi's" and "Bye's". Lucia pretends that a little ring box is a flip phone and answers "Hello?". Amelie is catching up with Lu's chattiness. She sat on the floor the other day and pretended to read an entire book to me. Some other adorable translations:
